  • Residence Life Coordinator, Louisiana State University

    • Residence Life Coordinators serve as a live in professional staff member for the Department of Residential Life. This individual is responsible for the day to day operation of a residence hall or group of residence halls including staff supervision, community development, administration, building management, and general departmental responsibilities.

      30% Administration and Building Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all departmental paperwork and processes within specified community. Assume primary responsibility for opening, closing, budget management, facilities management, and desk operations in their specific community.

      20% Supervision: Provide day to day supervision of a graduate residence director, a staff of 4 resident managers, and desk assistants within their community through regular one on one and staff meetings. Actively participate in staff recruitment, selection and training efforts of all staff members.

      15% Departmental Responsibilities: Actively participate in departmental programs and projects while upholding the mission, vision and values of Residential Life.

      10%Crisis Response: Serve as a member of the departmental on-call rotation, become familiar with and implement departmental protocol and processes, and follow up on students of concern as needed.

      10% Community Development and Leadership: Direct and assess community development initiatives in assigned area with special attention paid to community council, academic resources, and departmental assessment initiatives.

      10% Student Development and Learning: Support student learning through implementation of programs that support established departmental learning outcomes and providing appropriate support and referrals who may be in crisis. Serve as a conduct officer for departmental processes.

      5% Other Duties as Assigned: Serve as a role model for students and staff. Participate actively in divisional responsibilities.

  • Residence Life Coordinator, Dillard University

    • The Residence Life Coordinator will promote and enhance a supportive community environment in his/her residence area which is conducive to academic achievement and student growth. The position requires sound judgment to supervise student Resident Assistants and professional Desk Assistants and to provide crisis response to individual students. The Residence Life Coordinator is expected to be a strong partner with various stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and parents and collaborator with colleagues within the Division of Student Success, academic affairs, and facilities. The Residence Life Coordinator will provide a structured and engaged living environment that enhances student learning and development through quality programming, policy enforcement, and high community standards.

      The Residence Life Coordinator is a full-time, 12-month, live-in, professional staff member responsible for managing a residential complex. Principle responsibilities include: staff supervision and development, residence education, community development, crisis management, administration and building management, student discipline, hall association advising, summer operations, and other departmental and university-wide responsibilities. In addition, as the primary professional staff member available in the residence hall, the Residence Life Coordinator is expected to spend evening and weekend time with students.

  • Assistant Director of Residential Life, University of Louisiana at Monroe

    • Responsible for (1) all areas pertaining to programming in the residence halls, (2) selection and training of Resident Assistants and Hall Directors, (3) move-in and move-out, (4) summer camps, (5) student conduct issues pertaining to residential life, (6) conducting monthly building inspections, (7) review and approve duty log reports submitted to eRezlife, (8) execute fire drills in the residence halls per year, (9) teaching the RA class each fall and spring, and (10) other related duties as assigned. The candidate must be willing to be on call weekends, nights and some holidays.

      This is a live on campus position with a furnished two bedroom apartment. All utilities, washer/dryer, cable TV, internet, Wi-Fi and local phone service are included in the compensation package as is a meal plan for on campus dining.
